Costa Rica accounts for only 0.03 percent of the earth’s surface (which is only 51.100km2). However, it contains nearly 6 percent of the world’s biodiversity. Biodiversity is life on Earth and every extinction undermines the stability of the planet.

The WCRCF is a registered non-profit organization in the United States, committed to the protection of Costa Rica’s endangered wildlife through conservation research, integral wildlife attention, rehabilitation and community involvement.

Tackling biodiversity loss, protecting the environment for sustainable development in Costa Rica and improving the quality of life for present and future generations of the world is at the heart of our mission.
